SUMMARY I have more than 30 years experience in journalism, serving as a news director, anchor, and reporter.
Until recently I served as Managing Editor and Anchor for the 5, 6, and 11PM newscasts at WNWO. Before that I was News Director/Anchor at WNWO from January 2013 until November 2014. Prior to my tenure at WNWO, I established the news operation at WFFT in Fort Wayne, Indiana and served four years as News Director. WFFT Local News, First at 10, won First Place, Newscast from the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists. The broadcast was also nominated for an Emmy for Evening Newscast for two years in a row.
My fellow broadcasters have recognized me as Ohio’s Best Anchor, and Best Enterprise Reporter. But awards only go so far. I’m proud to have built a career on in-depth stories that have made a positive difference.

In addition to news management, anchoring, and reporting, I shoot and edit many of my stories. I own Hi-definition underwater camera gear and an Avid editing suite. I am a licensed private pilot and a certified SCUBA instructor.

I most recently served as Managing Editor and Primary Weekday Anchor of WNWO-TV. I took on this role after serving as News Director and Weekday Anchor for two years during the station ownership transition from Barrington Broadcasting to Sinclair Broadcasting. I have managed a team of 35 news professionals. In my Managing Editor/Anchor role I travelled to the Philippines following typhoon Haiyan and to Nepal following the April 2015 earthquake to file exclusive reports on the mercy missions by Toledo doctors. I supervised producers and reporters in their daily newsgathering and story production.
